All the quality beer and food under the Hood

A restaurant specialising in home-made food and drink has won an award for its beer.

Hood, Streatham is celebrating after being crowned the UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Restaurant.

The SIBA Business Awards are judged by a panel of independent beer industry experts, managed by the Society of Independent Brewers.

Founder and owner Melanie Frean, said: “Like all businesses in the hospitality trade, the last 12 months have been a
roller-coaster so to have triumphed in this national award scheme as we celebrated our sixth birthday was an incredible feat for us.”

Since the pandemic hit, Hood has carried on making chef-prepared modern British meals at home.

Melanie said: “The team is working hard behind the scenes and we are looking forward to welcoming back our customers to dine with us on May 19.”
