Charlton boss Bowyer: We’re not only club who admire Boreham Wood ace

Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has revealed there is rival interest in Boreham Wood’s Sorba Thomas.

The Addicks saw a bid rejected for the 21-year-old at the end of the last transfer window.

The former West Ham youngster, who can play in attacking wide areas, has scored three goals in 10 National League outings.

Boreham Wood announced in October that Thomas had been placed on the transfer list.

Bowyer said: “We like him as a player. But from what I understand we’re not the only club that likes him, which doesn’t surprise me – because he is a good, young player.

“He plays for his team and we have to respect that, but I think I can respectfully say that I like him as a player – I like a lot of players! He is a young lad who has got some talent.”
