Spring activities for Londoners provided by Elephant and Castle

Elephant & Castle is providing a range of activities for Londoners to enjoy this spring, including a new shopping area and a range of online events.

Castle Square is welcoming back the community with free live entertainment across the weekend of the 15th April, with all entertainment adhering to the latest government guidelines on social distancing.

Local restaurants such as Pizzeria Pappagone, TUPI, Coma Y Beba, Kaieteur Kitchen, El Guambra, Original Caribbean Spice and Daddy O’s will also be swinging open their doors on April 12 for outdoor dining and takeaway.

Traders offering fashion, textiles, electrical products and services will also be reopening at Castle Square and Ash Avenue on April 12.

For those at home, Elephant & Castle’s Virtual Community Hub continues to offer an action-packed schedule of events.

The Spring Celebration to mark the end of lockdown on April 11 will include a quiz, craft activities and a fashion parade, as well as performances from the community hub’s choir and Upside Down Dance Academy.

For children, the Virtual Community Hub is teaming up with charity Art in the Park to bring Fairytale Children workshops.

These are free creative workshops including storytelling, drawing, collaboration and prop making.

For the young creatives, the Community Hub will continue to offer free virtual arts and craft workshops.

Kid’s Creation Station Live Sessions will include Easter Decoration making and sessions on optical illusions.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, the Elephant & Castle Community Hub is presenting an inspiring workshop hosted by local Apex College tonight on how to become an entrepreneur.

The event will focus on coming up with a business idea, will question what makes a good entrepreneur and practical tips on how to start your own business.
