St Matthew Academy in Blackheath nominated for award for quality of teaching

A school has been shortlisted for a top award for the quality of its teaching.

St Matthew Academy in St Joseph’s Vale, Blackheath, is in the running for the English teacher or team of the year award.

Times Educational Supplement editor Ann Mroz said: “We had a record number of entries this year and the standard was very high, so all those shortlisted should be very proud: it’s an extraordinary achievement to be on this shortlist.”

For the very first time, award winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Friday, November 13.
