Thornton Heath teenager charged over Brixton stabbing in February

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Brixton which left a 17-year-old male critically injured.

Leon Rashid, 18, of Dunheved Road, Thornton Heath has been charged with attempted murder; possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).

He will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, 13 April.

The charge is part of an investigation into the stabbing of James Bascoe-Smith in Henry Road, Brixton, Tuesday, 23 February.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue by officers from the Central South Command Unit.
