Another two vaccination hubs will open in Lambeth by the end of the week, bringing the total to four.
Initially the vaccination will be prioritised for those over the age of 80, care home workers and residents, and front line health and care staff.
The vaccinations will be delivered at some hospitals and GP hubs. By the end of the week in Lambeth, vaccinations will be available at the Hetherington Group Practice in Ferndale and at the Paxton Green Group Practice in Norwood.
This is added to the two already available – Streatham Place Surgery and the Hurley Clinic in Kennington.
Lambeth residents can also get vaccinated at the ExCel Centre, one of the newly opened national mass vaccination centres.
Letters have been sent to people aged 80 or over who live a 30 to 45-minute drive from one of the seven new sites and explain how they can book a slot.
This week Councillor Jim Dickson, Lambeth’s joint cabinet member for health and social care, tweeted the update: “We’ll shortly have four Covid vaccination hubs operating across Lambeth.
“Hurley Clinic, Kennington, up and running since December 14, Streatham Place since January 8, Hetherington (between Clapham and Brixton) by January 15, and Paxton Green, Norwood, by January 15.
“We are investigating sites for mass vaccination in Lambeth. Message to residents remains they wait for their GP/NHS to contact them to be called in for the jab.”

Might have been nice if the council gave residents a bit of notice that this was happening esp as its slap bang in residential area. Whilst not the clinically most vulnerable I am still clinically vulnerable and it was quite the shock taking my daily exercise yesterday and today to walk into a crowd of people and assaulted by the smog of exhaust fumes as people drive round in circles trying to find parking spaces where there are none in a LTN area. Its bonkers, the council are bonkers there must be more suitable venues, Paul Ross Centre for a start but then I think the council has done something to those roads to
London has been absolutely and irreversibly damaged by SADIQ KHAN, it has been 4 years of absolute hell,Jesus help us if he is voted in again!.He hates this city and it’s people and doesn’t give a toss about anything except how to squeeze money from us every day!
…And Boris’s garden bridge fantasy cost London £43 million, for nothing. Almost enough to have repaired Hammersmith Bridge.
Your babyish exaggerations are laughable.
I’m not even a Khan voter, but at least I can offer evidence for my point.
