Updated list of Millwall’s injured players – including when they could be back in action

Millwall have got a lengthening injury list – with Daniel Ballard the latest addition after sustaining an eye injury in the 0-0 draw at Swansea City on Wednesday evening.

Here we break down who is out, when they last featured, how many games they’ve missed and when they could return.

SHAUN HUTCHINSON

Injury: Thigh

Last game: Portsmouth (H) August 10

Shaun Hutchinson last featured in the Lions EFL cup win against Portsmouth back in August and has missed the last seven matches with a thigh injury.

The 30-year-old is now back in training with the South London club, so a return doesn’t look too far away.

DANNY MCNAMARA

Injury: Groin

Last game: Fulham (H) August 17

Danny McNamara has missed Millwall’s last five games in all competitions since coming off the bench in the Lions 2-1 defeat against Fulham, after suffering a groin injury in training.

The 22-year-old is due to resume training from Monday, which will provide a huge injury boost for the Lions, who have been playing Billy Mitchell at right-back.

ISAAC OLAOFE

Injury: Groin.

Last game: N/A

Isaac Olaofe has signed for Sutton United on a season-long loan for a second season running, after scoring 14 goals in 37 appearances there last season as they were promoted to the EFL.

The 21-year-old suffered a groin injury during Millwall’s pre-season trip to Scotland. The Lewisham-born striker is back in training ahead of his move to Sutton.

GEORGE EVANS

Injury: Groin

Last game: Blackpool (H) August 28

George Evans pulled his groin in training last week, which meant he missed both of Millwall’s trips to Swansea and West Brom.

The former Derby midfielder isn’t expected to be out for too long, and could return to training in the next week or so.

BENIK AFOBE

Injury: Knee

Last game: Blackpool (H) August 28

Benik Afobe has scored two goals in five appearances for the Lions since signing on a season-long loan from Stoke City.

Afobe has missed Millwall’s last two fixtures after taking a bang to his knee in training, but could be available for the Lions EFL cup game against Leicester City.

SHEYI OJO

Injury: Ill

Last game: West Bromwich Albion (A) September 11

Sheyi Ojo made his Millwall debut against West Brom last Saturday, but was unable to play against Swansea City due to illness.

It is unclear when Ojo will be back.

DANIEL BALLARD

Injury: Eye

Last game: Swansea City (A) September 15

Daniel Ballard has been an ever present in the Millwall defence since making the summer move from Arsenal.

The former Blackpool loanee suffered an eye injury in the Lions 0-0 draw against Swansea City on Wednesday.

It is unclear when Ballard will be fit to return.
