Woman in 60s in a critical condition after collision in Croydon

A 66-year-old woman remains in a critical condition following a fail-to-stop collision in Croydon on Saturday.

Police were called at 9.54pm on January 2 to A232 Wickham Road, after a moped or motorcycle was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses as the rider failed to stop at the scene.

Following the incident the woman was taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

The collision occurred at the crossroads with Hartland Way and Orchard Avenue.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who saw the incident or may have captured it or the events leading up to it on dash cam video to make contact via 0208 285 1574.
