AFC Wimbledon’s Johnnie Jackson wins League Two Manager of the Month for November
AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson has won the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month for November.
The Dons picked up seven points from a possible nine last month. Jackson’s side convincingly beat table-toppers Leyton Orient 2-0 and also claimed an impressive 2-0 away win to play-off hopefuls Tranmere Rovers.
Wimbledon, who are now on a seven-game unbeaten run in League Two and have kept four clean sheets in a row, also picked up a point away to Salford City in a 0-0 draw last month.
Jackson beat Crewe Alexandra boss Lee Bell, Northampton Town manager Jon Brady and Carlisle United’s Paul Simpson to claim the award.
“It’s a reward for everyone at the football club,” said Jackson. “We had a great run in November. It’s been a great team effort from my staff and players to get us to where we are – they’ve been outstanding.
“The Orient game [is the clear highlight]. The performance under the lights was great and it was a solid 2-0 victory against the league leaders.
“We want to keep our run of form going. We’re in a great place as a team and as a squad, everyone is pulling in the right direction.”
