Fulham player ratings from 3-1 defeat to Liverpool – Iwobi struggles as Whites fall to the Jurgen Klopp’s men once again
Fulham fell to a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, meaning they have failed to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side across four attempts this season.
Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota meant a first-half equaliser from Timothy Castagne counted for little.

Bernd Leno – 6
Not a great deal he could have done about any of the three goals. Made a good save from Cody Gakpo in the first half.
Timothy Castagne – 6
Notched a well-taken first Fulham goal but Liverpool did get a decent amount of joy attacking down his side.
Tosin Adarabioyo – 5
Part of an off day for a centre-back partnership that has served Fulham quite well throughout the season. Was caught out for Jota’s goal and had early been rolled easily by the Portuguese attacker beforehand.
Calvin Bassey – 5
Not quite at his best. Gave away possession in dangerous areas a couple of times.
Antonee Robinson – 6
His good cross into the box set up the situation for Castagne to level the scores. Largely did well to marshal Luis Diaz but was unable to have as great an impact going forward without Willian ahead of him.
Andreas Pereira – 5
Struggled to have much of an impact on the game following his match-winning display at West Ham last week.
Joao Palhinha – 5
Gave away the free-kick that led to Alexander-Arnold’s opener but was put in a difficult situation after Iwobi lost the ball. Was shown his 12th yellow card of the season in doing so.
Sasa Lukic – 5
Was caught out of position in the build-up to Jota’s decisive third goal but a busy display otherwise, making two interceptions.
Alex Iwobi – 4
Gave Andy Robertson problems early on but was robbed by Cody Gakpo in the build-up to Liverpool’s opener and then gave the ball to Harvey Elliott to set up Gravenberch for the second goal.
Rodrigo Muniz – 6
Fulham struggled to get him involved for long spells of the game but showed the value of his hold up play on a couple of occasions, particularly in the build-up to Castagne’s goal.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid – 5
A quiet afternoon for the stand-in captain. Found it hard to limit the influence Alexander-Arnold had on the game.

Tom Cairney – 6
Had a shot from the edge of the box that was well saved by Allison. Not sure he was the ideal midfield partner for Lukic.
Harry Wilson – 6
Tried to make things happen from the right flank but Jota’s goal not long after he came on meant the game was pretty much beyond Fulham.
