Concerns grow for missing Wandsworth man after Natural History Museum visit

Police are appealing for help to find a man from Wandsworth who has not been seen since last Thursday.

Mazhar Ahmad, aged 58, was last seen near Hyde Park Corner at around 5.40pm.

Mazhar had been visiting the Natural History Museum with his father when he made off after they left.

His father last saw him outside the museum, heading towards Knightsbridge.

Mazhar is vulnerable and requires medication for his mental health that he does not have with him. He speaks very little English and will not talk to strangers, meaning that officers are concerned he will be either unable to ask for help, or may have been taken unwell somewhere.

During previous disappearances, he is known to have walked for up to 20 miles, therefore he could now be elsewhere in London or even outside the capital.

Mazhar is of medium build and has short, dark hair. He is wearing a sweater (as seen in the photo), black trousers, white shoes and a brown cap.

His family and police are extremely worried for his welfare.
