A Lewisham resident who died following a collision with a bus in Deptford has been named

A woman who died following a collision with a bus in Deptford has been formally identified.

Police were called to Deptford Broadway just before 5pm on Sunday, September 16, to a report of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.

Officers attended and found 27-year-old Julia Luxmore Peto, from Lewisham, suffering from serious injuries.

She was treated at the scene and then taken to hospital, where she died on Monday, 17 September.

Her next of kin are aware.

The driver of the bus was not arrested and is assisting police with their investigation.

Enquiries continue.
