Teresa Early established Theatre Peckham – of which Mr Boyega was a student – working as its artistic director for 34 years.
She was made an MBE last week for services to young people in the arts.
Mr Boyega said: “I’m very proud of her for all she has achieved and the many lives she continues to impact in a positive way.”
