AFC Wimbledon boss reveals transfer difficulties

By Anthony Scales

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley says his scouting staff are scouring for recruits that would fit the club’s playing budget, having highlighted a need to pep up his attack with Kwesi Appiah facing another long spell on the sidelines and Cody McDonald carrying a foot injury.

“We’re looking,” said Ardley. “All the staff are out watching various people.

“It’s hard because a lot of the players that we were quite interested in have either been snapped up or offered much more money than we’ve got – but we’re looking.”
