AFC Wimbledon midfielder joins Gillingham

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Dean Parrett is leaving AFC Wimbledon – with Gillingham signing the midfielder when his contract runs out at the start of July.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man, who had a short loan spell with Charlton, made 67 appearances for the Dons.

Parrett scored the decisive goal to beat Walsall and secure the Dons’ League One status in the campaign just completed.

“All at AFC Wimbledon thank Dean for his contribution during his two years at the club,” said the Dons in a statement on their website.
