Appeal for witnesses after fight in Penge

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after two people were injured following a fight in Penge.

Officers were called at around 7.15pm on Tuesday following reports of a large group of people, including a number of people on mopeds, causing a disturbance near Penge Road at the junction with Kings Road.

Two men were assaulted and taken to hospital for treatment. Neither man’s injuries are life threatening. They were not stabbed.

Two men, aged 28 and 42, and one woman, aged 51, were arrested at the scene for offences including grievous bodily harm and affray. They remain in custody.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed this incident, or captured events on their phone, to contact them immediately.
