Appeal to locate three witnesses to Emmanuel Ogabi murder

Detectives investigating the murder of Emmanuel Ogabi in Woolwich are appealing for help to locate three witnesses.

Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Penney said: “These three people are sought as witnesses only and are not in any trouble.

We believe they may have significant information that could assist our enquiries and would like to speak to them as soon as possible.

“If you are one of the people pictured or you think you know the person, please contact the incident room on 020 8721 4622.”

Police were called at around 8am on Thursday, October 21 to Sandy Hill Road, SE18, after a 26-year-old man was found collapsed in the street.

Emmanuel was pronounced dead at the scene, and a post-mortem found the cause of death to be a single stab wound.

Three people were charged with murder in connection with this case.

Two have since been released with no further action.

One man remains in custody. He appears for trial at the Central Criminal Court in January 2023.
