Bayern Munich defender has ‘verbal agreement’ with Crystal Palace

Chris Richards has reportedly reached a “verbal agreement” with Crystal Palace over a move to Selhurst Park.

The centre-back – who has made five appearances for the Bundesliga outfit – looks set to become an Eagles player.

Sky Germany are reporting that the 22-year-old has agreed personal terms with the South London club.

The reports adds that Palace are now working to find an agreement with Bayern Munich and that negotiations are ongoing as they look to seal the deal.

Richards has made eight appearances for the United States national team since making his debut against Panama in November 2020.

The American spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim and scored one goal in 19 appearances as they finished ninth in Germany’s top tier.
