Charlton boss Bowyer on Oxford United: Karl Robinson has players that can hurt teams – he’s always been that way

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer expects former Addicks boss Karl Robinson to pick a footballing team against the Valley side on Tuesday night.
United travel to SE16 after their home match against Swindon on Saturday was cancelled due to Covid infections in the Robins’ camp.
And Bowyer is expecting a difficult match for Robinson’s return to the ground where he was manager from November 2016 to March 2018.
Bowyer said: “It is tough whenever you play against one of Karl’s sides.
“They play nice football and play through the lines and they have players that can hurt teams. Karl has always been that way.
“When we were last in the same division, we only took one point against them and we have to change that.
“They had a game cancelled at the weekend so they will be fresher than us. But I’m concentrating on our lads and what we need to do. If we do things the right way, we are also a good side.”
