Brentford boss Frank on Crystal Palace transfer link to Ezri Konsa

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Brentford boss Thomas Frank is aware of interest in Ezri Konsa – but believes the Crystal Palace-linked defender should stay with the west London side for at least one more season.

The former Charlton centre-back has been mooted as a target for both Arsenal and the Eagles.

“I think Ezri Konsa is a very good, talent player – I think he can become very good,” said Frank. “I understand there is interest in him. I think he will learn a lot playing one more year in the Championship.

“There are a lot of things he needs to develop because it is such a big step – to go from League One, Championship and Premier League. I definitely think he is going to go there one day.

“It is whether he decides to go there with us or go with another club in the future.”
