Cosmetic surgery is closed for breaches

A cosmetic surgery has been forced to shut down for three months after its owner was found washing dirty sheets used in surgeries at their home, writes Jacob Phillips, Local Democracy Reporter. TfL warns of travel disruption this weekend as roads in South East London closed for marathon

Transport for London has issued travel advice ahead of the return of the London Marathon this weekend. Following its cancellation last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the world-famous marathon makes its return this year with participants running the traditional route past famous landmarks such as Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

London Assembly calls for government to hand over running of Southeastern rail services to TfL

The Government should reconsider handing over suburban rail services to TfL following the takeover of Southeastern trains, according to the London Assembly. It was announced on Tuesday that Southeastern – which runs trains from London to East Sussex and Kent – would be stripped of its franchise and services would be taken over by the Government after it failed to declare more than £25 million of taxpayer funding.
