Ninety-six teams ran three laps of Dulwick Park at last week’s Dulwich Midsummer Relays with Fabien Whitelock (Dulwich Runners) posting the joint-fastest time of the evening

U20 Kyron Baylee Burke excelled with a 400m/800m double of 51.8 and 2:03.32 – finally rounding off the day with a sub-50 seconds anchor leg in the 4x400m relay in which they clocked 4:06.88.

Wednesday night saw the Hercules Wimbledon 3,000m Night of Races christen dozens of new personal bests on a night of fast racing in Wimbledon Park.

It took 42 years but finally Hercules Wimbledon Athletic Club have a sub-3:45 1500m runner as Charlie Wyllie emphatically won the 1500m Festival Night on his Wimbledon Park home track, moving one step closer to qualification for the British Championships.

A quieter weekend on the circuit didn’t stop some standout performances from Hercules Wimbledon Athletic Club athletes.

U17 sprinter Farrell Fabusiwa scorched his way to a stunning 200m win in 21.8 seconds 0.9 clear of his closest challenger. 

Snowden again ran well in another stacked world-class field, behind fourth-placed British record holder Laura Muir.

Phoebe Anderson’s amazing USA track season continued with another Herne Hill Harriers’ senior women’s record on her 10,000m debut where she clocked 32:54.50.

In a busy race of 35 athletes, Penney quickly took up his place at the head of the second pack, before catching some of the leaders over the final laps, including GB-international James Kingston.

Four Dulwich Runners men recorded times under two hours and 30 minutes  at the 2024 London Marathon.

U13 boy Theo Creed continued his stellar 2024 season to take third in 8:24, separated from second by just a photo finish. It adds to a UK Inter-County title in March.
James Fraser, 21 seconds behind was an impressive 16th. Freia Harper-Tee, competing in the same age group, came 40th in the girls race.

Twelve determined Croydon Harriers mile-covering runners successfully tackled the tortuous challenge of the London Marathon on Sunday, notching up over 48 hours of road pounding and almost 260 miles of shoe wear between them.
