Catford Wanderers lost 4-0 to Bromley in the Winter League on Saturday.
Catford’s second string ladies side were the hosts with their opponent’s sending their first team.
Wanderers’ Monica Romagnoli and newcomer Donna Gabriel lost their opening match to Hazel Matthews and Kimberley Hall (2-6 3-6) but put up a sparkling performance against Bridget Dunk and Rosie Snow despite losing 6-3 3-6 6-7.
Toni Boardman and Basha Olsinska had a miserable afternoon and went down in straight sets.
Catford’s 60-and-over men’s team beat Blackheath 3-1. Rob Dawbarn and John Clay picked up two wins. Clive Birkhamshaw and Clive Richardson won their opening rubber but lost their second match to Alan Downie and Blake Morrison (3-6 2-6).
