Charlton and Bristol City both fined for Ashton Gate melee

Charlton Athletic and Bristol City have both been fined after admitting an FA charge of failing to control their players in the recent game at Ashton Gate.

Famara Diedhiou was sent off in the 86th minute for kicking out at Addicks captain Jason Pearce while he was on the turf.

It sparked a confrontation between the two sets of players.

Charlton have been ordered to pay a £12,500 fine with the hosts being hit with a £10,000 penalty.

The Addicks have not commented on the punishment.
