Charlton Athletic boss coy on transfer link to Middlesbrough attacker

Johnnie Jackson refused to divulge if Charlton Athletic are close to a loan deal for Middlesbrough attacker Marcus Browne.

It was reported on Friday that the Addicks had agreed a temporary move for the 24-year-old, who is back fit following a spell out with an ACL injury.

But Jackson was coy when asked if Browne was set to imminently boost his ranks.

“I know about Marcus Browne, he is a very good player,” said the Addicks manager. “He’s someone I know very well and has been involved at this level for a good number of years.

“I’m not going to comment on individual players and targets. We’ve got our business that we’re trying to conduct and go about it in a professional way. We’ll see what happens in the next 10 days.”
