Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer set to get contract offer next week
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic look set to offer fresh terms to manager Lee Bowyer next week.
The Addicks boss is out of contract at the end of June.
Lieven De Turck, who is involved in negotiating takeover talks on behalf of Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet, recently told a fans’ forum that there was universal board approval for Bowyer to stay.
“I had a text last night that something is going to be put to me next week,” said Bowyer. “I don’t know when next week.
“We’ll see what is offered and go from there.”
Assistant manager Johnnie Jackson also sees his current terms end this summer.
