Charlton will be without 13 players if Erhun Oztumer fails to win his fitness battle for tomorrow’s home game against Sheffield Wednesday.
The attacking midfielder missed Tuesday’s 2-1 loss at Luton with a foot injury.
“The outside of Ozzy’s foot is all swollen and bruised,” said Addicks manager Lee Bowyer. “He couldn’t walk on it but time is a healer with these type of injuries.”
Bowyer only named five substitutes for the fixture at Kenilworth Road and it could drop to four if Oztumer is ruled out.
“We’ve gone as low as we possibly can go with the U23s – there are no more,” he said. “So if Ozzy isn’t fit then we are even lighter.”
Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher is suspended for the visit of the Owls after a fifth booking of the campaign in midweek.
“He chases everything down and he’s done well to go this long – we were worried he would miss the Millwall game,” said Bowyer.
