Charlton Athletic defender facing spell on sidelines – as boss confirms he will miss Wigan fixture
Deji Oshilaja has been added to Charlton Athletic’s injury list – with the defender set to play no part in this weekend’s League One match against Wigan Athletic.
The 27-year-old South Londoner had played every minute in the league and EFL Cup for the Addicks this season.
But Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has ruled him out of Saturday’s fixture at The Valley.
“Deji has been out since the weekend,” said Bowyer. “He has done something to the bottom of his foot.
“He’s hurt his foot and he’s not really in a good place, if I’m honest. The physio says he doesn’t want to put a time frame on it.
“Deji ain’t going to be available for the weekend.”
Charlton are already without club captain Jason Pearce (calf) and midfielder Alex Gilbey.
“Pearcey has broken down again before he even came back to me,” said Bowyer. “It is driving me mad. We need Pearcey.”
