Charlton Athletic key man ruled out of Luton game

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Josh Cullen is out of Charlton’s Championship match at Luton Town tomorrow – with the on-loan West Ham midfielder due to have a scan on his ankle today.

The Republic of Ireland international was stretchered off in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

“He’s not fit for tomorrow,” Addicks boss Lee Bowyer told the South London Press. “But he’s got to go and have a scan, which I think is today.”

Darren Pratley is available for the match at Kenilworth Road after serving a one-game suspension for picking up five bookings.

Deji Oshilaja had cramp in the closing stages against the Bluebirds but should be available.

Erhun Oztumer needed lengthy treatment after a heavy challenge in the second half but did stay on.

“Ozzy is struggling and it will be touch and go with him,” said Bowyer. “It just depends how he is today. I’ll make a decision on him this afternoon, whether he’ll travel or not.”

The Charlton boss will once again not name a full quota of substitutes. He had six players on the bench on Saturday.
