Charlton Athletic not going to offer deal to former West Ham and Blackburn defender

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Elliott Ward is not set to be handed a deal by Charlton Athletic – with the South Londoners having other centre-back options they are pursuing.

The former West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City defender had been training with the club to boost his fitness as he looks to secure a summer move.

Ward played in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Welling United and also featured in last night’s win – by the same scoreline – at Dulwich Hamlet.
