Charlton Athletic poised to confirm Harry Arter loan deal

Charlton Athletic are set to confirm the loan signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter this afternoon.

The Addicks have agreed a deal for the Sidcup-born 31-year-old, who started off on their books, to join them for the remainder of the League One campaign.

Arter is away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

He has played 330 senior matches, including 255 during a hugely successful spell at AFC Bournemouth which saw him win promotion from League One and the Championship.

Arter has fallen out of favour at Forest and has not made their matchday squad since February 1.

He will add extra experience and bite to the Charlton midfield.

Arter, who is the brother-in-law of Scott Parker, joined Fulham for the 2019-20 season. He started 21 times for the west Londoners with an injury ruling him out of 14 Championship fixtures from the end of October.
