Charlton Athletic v Birmingham City: Lyle Taylor not fit to face Blues – Oztumer replaces Williams in starting line up
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic will be without star striker Lyle Taylor for today’s home game against Birmingham City.
The frontman cut short international duty with Montserrat after picking up an injury and is not fit enough to be involved.
Taylor has scored in five of Charlton’s six Championship matches.
Tomer Hemed replaces the former AFC Wimbledon man up top as he partners Jonathan Leko.
Another switch sees Erhun Oztumer preferred ahead of Jonny Williams, who had been away on international duty with Wales in midweek.
Charlton: Phillips, Solly, Lockyer, Pearce, Purrington, Cullen, Field, Gallagher, Oztumer, Hemed, Leko. Subs: Amos, Williams, Aneke, Pratley, Kayal, Sarr, Bonne.
Birmingham City: Camp, Pedersen, Roberts, Colin, Crowley, Jutkiewicz, Dean, Mrbati, Bellingham, Davis, Sunjic. Subs: Stockdale, Harding, Clarke-Salter, Maghoma, Gardner, Gimenez, Bailey.
