Charlton Athletic Women have signed Wales international midfielder Georgia Evans.
The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Yeovil Town Ladies in the FA Women’s Super League.
Evans is a free agent.
She said: “As soon as I came to the club and saw the facilities I made the decision and can’t wait to get started.
“It’s exciting to join the club. I came down last week, met Riteesh and I’ve been been training with the girls so I’m really excited for the season.”
Addicks manager Riteesh Mishra reckons that the addition of Evans is a statement of intent.
“I think it’s a big message for someone like us as a club to be getting a player of Georgia’s calibre.
“It should give us confidence as a club that someone like her has decided to join us.
“I know she would have had other options and opportunities but she will take us to another level with how we play and I’m delighted to have signed her.”
Evans has previously played for Bristol City and Sporting Club Albion.
