Charlton boss Lee Bowyer and Jason Pearce up for top Championship awards
Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer and captain Jason Pearce have both been shortlisted for the EFL’s June awards.
Bowyer is in contention to win the Championship Manager of the Month award as the Addicks gained seven points from their three fixtures without conceding a goal.
But he looks unlikely to win the accolade.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank picked up maximum points over that period and they defeated promotion rivals Fulham and West Brom.
Paul Cook also had a 100 per cent record last month as his Wigan side scored seven goals without reply.
Cardiff City’s Neil Harris is also on the shortlist. They took seven points.
Pearce is up for the Championship Player of the Month. Derby County teenager Louie Sibley, who scored a hat-trick at Millwall when the football resumed, is also in contention along with Swansea’s Rhian Brewster and Luton keeper Simon Sluga.
The winners of both awards will be announced tomorrow morning.
