Charlton boss Lee Bowyer explains absence of four players who missed vital win at Nottingham Forest

Lee Bowyer has provided an injury update on four players who missed Tuesday’s 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest.
Andre Green, Jonny Williams and Darren Pratley all started the defeat at Stoke on Saturday but were absent from the matchday squad at the City Ground.
West Brom loanee Sam Field was also a no-show, having been on the bench for the last two games after being side-lined since October with a knee injury.
“Field just had a little reoccurrence with his knee,” explained Bowyer.
“So, he’s got to see the West Brom doctor. I don’t know how bad that is.
“Pratley, his back seized up during the game on Saturday. That’s what happens when you get on a bit, that’s what I said to him! It’s wear and tear. He’s played near enough every ninety minutes so far of the season. I think it’s just caught up with him a bit.
“Jonny Williams, I left him behind because we’ve now got Aidy (Aiden McGeady). There’s no point risking him. He’s very fragile. We’ve got a massive game on Saturday.
“Andre Green, he had a bit of a sore knee but he had it before Stoke. It was one of them that was too much of a risk. I’m hopeful he’ll be OK for the weekend.”
