Charlton manager Lee Bowyer – Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford lucky to stay on the pitch
Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer admits Patrick Bamford was fortunate to escape a straight red for his late kick out at Conor Gallagher.
Referee John Brooks booked the Leeds United striker in the second half.
“I didn’t really see the incident at the time but I have now,” he said. “He was lucky to stay on the pitch, I’ve seen people sent off for it. I think it was down to frustration, because we limited him – outside the box and inside the box.”
