Charlton set to announce retained list for 2023-24 campaign early next week

Charlton Athletic are set to announce their retained list for the 2023-24 campaign early next week, the South London Press understands.

The Addicks have decisions to make over first-teamers such as Ryan Inniss, Sean Clare, Michael Hector, Terell Thomas, Alex Gilbey, Nathan Harness, Aaron Henry and Albie Morgan, who are all out of contract this summer.

Dean Holden’s side finished 10th in League One, with the former Bristol City manager taking over from Ben Garner in December and leading the South Londoners to comfortable safety.

Macauley Bonne, who joined from QPR in the winter window on a six-month deal after the Championship side ripped his contract, was left out of the matchday squad for Sunday’s League One finale at Cheltenham Town and will leave the Addicks.

Loanees Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Steven Sessegnon, Todd Kane, Gavin Kilkenny and Matt Penney will all return to their parent clubs.
