Charlton striker Chuks Aneke set to join Birmingham City on free transfer
Birmingham City are set to sign Chuks Aneke on a free transfer.
The Charlton Athletic striker, who was their top-scorer with 14 goals last season, had been offered a contract extension.
But Lee Bowyer, in charge in SE7 when Aneke arrived from Milton Keynes, has handed the former Arsenal youngster a chance to play in the Championship next season.
Aneke is thought to be finalising his move to the Blues at the end of this week.
Birmingham announced the signing of Jordan Graham earlier this week. The winger, who is also a free agent on July 1 after rejecting new terms at Gillingham, had also held talks with Charlton.
