Chelsea and Arsenal recalls ruled out by Crystal Palace chief

Steve Parish has dismissed any chance of Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Timothy Fosu-Mensah heading back to their parent clubs this month.

Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek and Manchester United defender Fosu-Mensah are on season-long loans.

But there has been a suggestion the pair had to play a certain amount of matches to prevent a recall option.

Parish – speaking on the Five Year Plan podcast – said: “It was a two-way street that we get a good player and that we develop them.

“They [the clubs] should be very happy what has happened to those players in terms of game time and the good coaching they have got.

“It is all very well playing training games and under-23s – Roy [Hodgson] teaches players how to win in the Premier League. It’s an invaluable skill.

“I don’t think if they were one game under that it would be what people would want to do.”
