Chelsea confirm double injury blow
Chelsea have confirmed that Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka have both suffered recent setbacks in their bid to return from respective injuries sustained earlier this season.
Chalobah has been sidelined all season due to a thigh injury, with the defender missing out on a deadline day move to German giants Bayern Munich in the summer window.
Ex-Aston Villa youngster Chukuemeka suffered a major knee injury – which required surgery – in the 3-1 defeat at West Ham in August.
The Blues are 11th in the Premier League and continue their campaign this Saturday against Arsenal.
Captain Reece James has also suffered a setback in his return from injury, but Malo Gusto is available after returning from suspension.
