Chris Solly is hoping to announce the opposition for his testimonial after this weekend’s League One play-off final.

The Addicks right-back scored the first penalty in the semi-final shootout against Doncaster to help his club reach the Wembley showdown on Sunday.

Solly would love his match to be the final warm-up before the start of a Championship campaign.

“The game will be in July at The Valley,” he told the South London Press. “I haven’t got an opponent confirmed yet. It’s tough because we still don’t know what league we’re going to be in.

“So in regards of an opponent, give it a week or so after Sunday and an opponent will be confirmed and in place. I’m hoping it’s the last pre-season match before the lead in to a Championship season.”
