Classical club night Through The Noise returns to London Bridge
After a sold out debut in South London last year, this classical club night is taking the UK by storm.
Through The Noise have announced that their concert series, noisenights, will return to London Bridge in July, at the OMEARA in Omera Street near Borough Market.
Set up in 2016 by Ben Lovett, of the folk band Mumford and Sons, OMEARA has hosted the likes of The Pretenders, The Maccabees, and Biffy Clyro.
But noisenights remain the only classical performances to have been programmed at the venue.
For the show on July 1, noisenights will be hosting the opera singer, Tongan tenor Filipe Manu known on stage as Filipe Manu.
Filipe Manu can usually be found on stages like the Royal Opera House but noisenights are offering the opportunity to see him in a smaller, more intimate venue.
As part of a new movement to take classical stars out of the concert hall, noisenights have brought performers from across the globe to grass-roots music venues.
Co-founder Jack Bazalgette said: “At a time when classical music concerts are taking place in some of the UK’s largest and most iconic venues, we’re just as keen to also take those great artists to local, independent and intimate spaces, where audiences are able to connect with the artists in a totally unique and captivating way.”
Filipe Manu is on July 1 at OMEARA.
