Crystal Palace and Charlton to square off in pre-season – and fans will be let in

Crystal Palace will host Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly as both sides gear up for the 2021-22 campaign.

The friendly, which will be played in front of supporters, will take place at Selhurst Park on July 27 (7pm kick off).

The two South London clubs haven’t faced each other competitively since Crystal Palace’s 4-1 league cup triumph in 2015.

However they did face each other in a friendly last summer, which ended in a 3-0 Palace win.

Nigel Adkins side will travel to Celtic Manor, where they will take on Celtic in a behind closed doors match on July 10 before heading to Princes Park to play Dartford on July 17 (3pm kick off).

The Addicks then face Championship side Reading in a behind closed doors match on July 24 (2pm kick off).
