Crystal Palace boast a World Cup winner as Nya Kirby plays part in England under-17 trophy win
Crystal Palace have a World Cup winner in their midst after Nya Kirby came on in the closing stages of England under-17s lifted the trophy on Saturday.
The midfielder came on to replace Wolves’ Morgan Gibbs-White in the 81st minute of the young Three Lions 5-2 victory in Kolkata, India.
It is the first time that England have won the tournament.
Kirby joined Palace in February 2017 after previously being on the books of Tottenham. He has been playing for the Eagles’ under-23 side this season.
Kirby has also been capped at England under-16 level.
