Crystal Palace clinch deal for young Peterborough striker

Crystal Palace have signed highly-rated Peterborough teenager Adler Nascimento.

The 16-year-old made his Posh debut last season in their 4-1 win over Doncaster Rovers in the last game of the 2020-21 campaign.

Darren Ferguson’s side were hoping to persuade the youngster to stay after they offered him a new scholarship deal and a professional deal.

However the forward will now join the South London club on a scholarship deal with a view to signing a professional contract when he turns 17.

The two clubs are yet to reach an agreement on the fee, so it may go to a tribunal to decide.

Nascimento is eligible to play international football for both England and Portugal.

Wolves, Brighton and Leeds United have all previously been linked with a move for Nascimento.
