Crystal Palace handed three new TV dates

By Sam Smith

Three Crystal Palace Premier League fixtures have been rearranged for broadcasting.

The home match against Manchester United, originally scheduled for Saturday March 3, will now be played on Monday March 5 at 8pm and will be shown on Sky Sports. Palace have failed to beat the Red Devils in 10 competitive meetings since promotion in 2013.

The Eagles also travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Saturday March 10 and the kick-off time has been changed from 3pm to 5.30pm for broadcasting by BT Sport. Roy Hodgson earned his first victory as head coach against the Blues – a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park courtesy of a Cesar Azpilicueta own goal and a stunning individual strike by Wilfried Zaha. Palace have the chance to win for a third-successive season in West London, having beaten Chelsea 2-1 at the Bridge in each of the previous two campaigns.

Liverpool visit Selhurst Park on Saturday March 31 as Hodgson faces the club where he had an unsuccessful spell in the 2010-11 season. The kick-off has been moved from 3pm to 12.30pm and the game will be broadcast by Sky Sports. This is subject to the Reds beating Portuguese club Porto in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
