Crystal Palace v Stoke City team line-ups: Wayne Hennessey starts as Julian Speroni dropped to the bench

Wayne Hennessey has been restored in net with Julian Speroni dropping to the bench following his error in the build-up to Everton’s second goal in SE25 last weekend.

The Welsh international has not featured in a league game since a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford in September.

Roy Hodgson has made two changes from the Everton draw with James Tomkins coming in at centre-back for Scott Dann.

Mamadou Sakho captains the side and Patrick van Aanholt returns to the matchday squad after sustaining a hamstring injury against West Ham in October.

Christian Benteke remains on the bench after returning to action last weekend against Everton. The Belgian striker has not started for the Eagles since suffering a knee injury against Manchester City in September.

Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Tomkins, Sakho (c), Schlupp, Loftus-Cheek, Cabaye, Milivojevic, McArthur, Townsend, Zaha.
Substitutes: Speroni, Dann, Benteke, Fosu-Mensah, Sako, Puncheon, Van Aaanholt.

Stoke City: Grant; Zouma, Shawcross, Wimmer; Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters; Shaqiri, Ramadan, Choupo-Moting.
Substitutes: Haugaard; Jese, Afellay, Martins Indi, Adam, Crouch, Edwards.
