Danny McNamara joins League Two side Newport County on loan

BY JAKE SANDERS

Danny McNamara has joined Newport County on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old featured regularly in pre-season, making starts against both Concord Rangers and Southend United, but will continue his development under Michael Flynn, joining former teammate Tom King, who moved to the Exiles on a permanent deal last month.

McNamara signed a one-year contract at Millwall in May, two days before he was named on the bench for the Lions’ final day defeat at Wigan Athletic.
