Dons twice come from behind to draw with Burton

AFC Wimbledon 2 Burton Albion 2

AFC Wimbledon twice came from behind to pull six points clear of the drop zone after a 2-2 home draw with Burton.

The play-off challenging visitors were ahead in just the seventh minute through Joe Powell – but Mitch Pinnock levelled 10 minutes later.

Albion again took the lead through Jamie Murphy before the break.

But Callum Reilly equalised on the hour to make it 2-2.

Both sides had chances to claim all three points but the result edges Glyn Hodges’ side closer to safety, level on points with Milton Keynes but with a game in hand.

Tranmere are six points behind in the highest relegation spot but have two matches in hand on the Dons.
