Dulwich bookseller shortlisted for Bookshop of the Year

An indie bookseller in Dulwich has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Village Books, which first opened in the 1930s, has made it to the first round of the Independent Bookshop of the Year Awards.

Owner Hazel Broadfoot said she was delighted by the news.

She said: “The last two years have been really challenging – we’ve had to adapt to constantly changing conditions, and find new ways of communicating with our customers.

“It’s cheering for our team to be recognised in this way and to be in the company of so many great bookshops on the shortlist.”
